Pray Naked is an interesting concept. While being naked is taboo for some people, there is no shame before our God. He calls us into complete surrender to Him and while I am not suggesting nudity in general should be displayed or used in a sinful fashion, what is being undressed before the Lord really about? He calls us to complete surrender right? I often pray naked because that is my natural state when I’m home by myself, but outside of that, shouldn’t we have total comfort sitting in the presence of our savior whether dressed or undressed, sick or well, sad or happy and every single thing in between? I decided to title this blog Pray Naked, because I believe in this season the Lord is calling his people into more intimate relationship with Him. Calling His people into deeper understanding of His nature, and our place in His Kingdom. Calling His people to live, believe and accomplish for Him in ways that we never have before. I believe He is calling His people like never before and is establishing Himself in us in new ways to catapult us into a new season of spiritual blessing and contentment.
Pray Naked is designed to be a blessing to any who come across it. I feel led by the Lord to share certain stories, testimonies, and observations, with the goal being, to use my own experiences to hopefully help people understand that they’re not alone. That God designed us to walk with one another in fellowship, that none of us are perfect, and that we all struggle to live our identities in Jesus, and walk in His perfect will for our lives.
Using scripture and analogy, I hope to spread a message, not of acceptance of sin and disobedience, but to remind that while those things are inevitable for all of us at times, the love and grace that our Savior has for us, enables us to get up, walk forward and live lives of transformation, restoration and hope.
